About
DeviTest is a free collection of browser tests for your devices: the screen of your phone, computer or TV, plus the keyboard, mouse, gamepad, speakers, microphone and camera — no software to install. The site started as a screen tester called Screen Doctor Pro and was renamed when it grew beyond screens.
Why we built it
When you buy a new or used device, it's hard to be sure the screen is fine in just a few minutes. We put the most useful tests in one place: dead and stuck pixels, backlight bleed, color banding, sharpness, OLED burn-in, motion and ghosting, and touch response.
Our principles
- Privacy first: every test runs on your device and nothing is uploaded.
- Clarity: we explain what each test can and can't detect, without overpromising.
- Safety: we warn you before any test that contains flashing.
- Works everywhere: on phones and computers, even offline after your first visit.
Who runs DeviTest
DeviTest is an independent project built and maintained by one developer in Austria. It is not affiliated with any display, phone or TV manufacturer. The operator's full contact details are in the legal notice (Impressum).
What you'll find here
- Screen tests: dead and stuck pixels, backlight bleed, color banding, uniformity, sharpness, OLED burn-in, refresh rate, ghosting and touch — each one on its own page.
- Repair and tools: a stuck pixel fixer, a dead pixel locator, a screen ruler, a PPI calculator and white/color screens.
- Device tests: keyboard, mouse, gamepad, speakers, microphone, camera and phone hardware.
- Guides: plain-language explanations such as OLED vs LCD, burn-in, refresh rate and how to check a used phone.
How we build the tests and write the guides
Each test draws exact colors, gradients and patterns directly in your browser, at your screen's real pixel density where it matters. We say clearly what a browser cannot measure — for example, pixel response time in milliseconds or exact brightness need a camera or a light sensor. Guides are written from manufacturer documentation and established display testing practice, are checked against the tools themselves, and are updated when something changes; the date on each article shows the last real change.
How the site is funded
The site is free and shows ads through Google AdSense. Ads never decide what we recommend, and there are no paid placements or affiliate links in the guides.
