DeviTest

Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-10-12

By using DeviTest (devitest.org) you accept these terms. They are short on purpose. Operator: Ahmad Asad, Innsbruck, Austria — see the legal notice.

1. A free service, provided as it is

The tests and guides are free and meant as a quick, honest check of your devices. Results are indications, not a certificate or an expert inspection: a browser can't see everything (for example battery health or exact pixel response time), and visual tests depend on your eyes, lighting and screen settings. Before buying, selling or returning a device, confirm important findings with the seller, the manufacturer or a repair shop.

2. Health and safety

3. Your devices

The tests only display images, play sounds and read what your browser allows; they don't change your device's settings or files. Using the stuck-pixel fixer for long periods is at your own discretion; it can't repair dead pixels and success isn't guaranteed.

4. Internet speed test

The speed test transfers data (roughly 20–100 MB on a typical connection, more on very fast ones). Mobile data charges are your responsibility. Please don't use the test server automatically or excessively.

5. Liability

We prepare the tests and texts with great care but can't guarantee that they are complete, correct or always available. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded as far as the law allows. Mandatory consumer rights in your country are not affected.

6. Content, ads and links

Texts, images and the site's code are protected by copyright; you are welcome to link to any page and to share your results. The speed test uses the open-source LibreSpeed engine (GNU LGPL v3). The site shows ads from Google; we are not responsible for advertised products or for the content of external websites we link to.

7. Changes and applicable law

We may change the site and these terms; the date above shows the current version. Austrian law applies, without its conflict-of-law rules; if you are a consumer in another EU country, the protective rules of your country still apply.
